About Lea

Author/Storyteller, Podcaster, Publisher and Workshop Leader:  Lea’s storytelling, performances and workshops are always fun, informative and engaging. The storytelling is often participatory but never, never, dull.

She has performed at both National and International Festivals with pieces she has written and collaborated on.  She loves to work collaboratively as she feels that this provides a richer mine of creative treasures to draw upon.

Her background is in Community Learning and Development (specialising in literacies) although her past job titles range from teaching to tour guiding in South America and even working as a British Rail Sandwich, yes, you read it right!

As a writer Lea published the first of her books, Midlothian Folk Tales and Animals Beasties and Monsters of Scotland with The History Press. Her latest work The House Beside the Cherry Tree – motherhood doesn’t come easy, is part of a trilogy and is published by Scaramouche Press

Lea is also registered with Scottish Book Trust and TRACS (Scottish National Network for Traditional Arts and Culture.
